ABOUT ASCA

TBASCO is an Affiliate club of ASCA - Australian Shepherd Club of America.  For more information about ASCA, please visit the website at http://www.asca.org/
ASCA welcomes dogs of all breeds and Mixed Breeds in most ASCA Events (see below for eligibility to compete).

You do not have to be an ASCA Member to join TBASCO.

If you do wish to become an ASCA Member, there are several different types of Membership:  Full, Lifetime, Junior, and Service Memberships.  A Full Membership ($40 Single) includes a subscription to the bi-monthly Aussie Times.  (extra for magazine delivery to Canada).  For more details and the ASCA membership form see the ASCA website under "Forms".

Competing with Dogs that are not ASCA-registered Aussies  (Other Breeds, Mixed Breeds, and also Aussies not registered with ASCA):

You can earn ASCA legs and Titles with your non-ASCA registered dog!  In order to have ASCA qualifying legs tracked and to receive ASCA titling certificates, each non-ASCA registered dog must have an "ASCA Tracking Number".  This allows ASCA to keep track of your dog's competition results.  For $10 your dog will be given a Lifetime ASCA Tracking Number.

To obtain the Tracking Number you must also be at least an ASCA Service Member at the time of application for the dog's number.  Service Membership is $10 per person and you can apply on the same form as the Tracking Number Application.  You do NOT have to renew your service membership in subsequent years to continue to compete and earn Titles.  Total cost for the dog's Tracking Number plus the one-year Service Membership is $20.
